Congrats on an impressive season! Lamar needs to play their best basketball in the tournament. McNeese is a Goliath in our league and will be virtually impossible to topple on their home floor. When does the tournament move out of Lake Charles??

These are the types of games I’m used to using losing. This team has really matured, hopefully we peak when we meet McNeese in the ship come March (and the cowboys catch a stomach bug 🤪)

Anderson would be a great contributor on this team, it’s a shame he left but Holifield is certainly an upgrade defensively with his frame. I think Holifield has another couple of levels to unlock before becoming the player he’s destined to be… hope he stays past this year!

Massive win, this is the type of game we would have lost last year. Marmalejos pokes the ball away and Holifield slams it home to clinch the win! Came through despite some home cookin’ calls that kept USM in the game, they were a tough team and this team has only lost 3 home games in the last 2+ years. USM will be a force in the Sun Belt. Lamar continues to come on strong. Let’s go shock the sport & topple Texas Tech for the 2nd time this century!

Another note - Southern Miss is really tough at home. Undefeated this season, 11-3 @ home last year. Undefeated the season before. They have some higher profile transfers who haven’t put it together just yet… hope LU can pull off another W!

I like what I saw from Holifield. A stretch forward in the SLC at 6’10 is incredibly rare. Think about the mismatches he can create if he draws the opponent’s biggest defender. He can open up the paint for Hamilton or our slashers (Marmelejos, Jackson, Pennebaker). Of course, he has to continue to shoot it well. Between Hamilton, Holifield, White, Dixon and the freshman, East, this is the longest Lamar team I have ever seen.

Exhibition game blahhhh glorified scrimmage with 3 starters essentially out and brand new team. The new guys were encouraging. Was Errol White sick? He’s pretty much the energizer bunny and needs to fill Terry Anderson’s minutes (although he lacks the 3).

2nd this.. also think we get beat by 2-3 scores. Another good litmus test before SLC play.

Man, y’all sound like you been drinking some of those chemicals being released at Motiva. We’re winning games (!!) with our backup QB (!!) and still obviously have a long way to go until we play our best football (!!) Take a chill pill & kick back. I still think 8 wins is in sight. Rossomando will get this group disciplined. We do need a QB, who wants to buy one?
