geezer
Reasonable analysis of LU offense. PK was supposed to be known for the motion offense, but his players don't move, the perimeter shooters aren't ready to shoot when they receive a pass and hold the ball to look for their dribble penetration opportunity. The weak side players rarely go to the boards instead standing and watching.
AggiesAreWe
I understand the frustration with so little 3 point attempts but the question is, does Lamar have any confident 3 point shooters? If I am the coach and during every practice no player shows that they can knock down a 3 with any kind of consistency, then I sure am not going to game plan my offense around the 3 point shot. My point is, I am not so sure Lamar has skilled shooters on the team. But I haven't been to any practices to know. With that said, Lamar probably should put a few more three's to try and create more scoring. The only draw back of shooting three's is a lot of times those misses come in the form of long rebounds that help start the opponents transition game which Lamar has shown is very weak in transition defense. coachacola
Seems like Knight should be able to recruit at least 1 good 3 point shooter.
geezer
The three point shooting may be part of the overall poor offense. Watching good teams with good three point shooters it seems that most of them get the shot on a pass back out from the post or from and skip pass from one side of the court to the other. LU hasn't shown the ability to make the skip pass or to swing the ball around the perimeter quickly and no one we have played is worried enough about our inside game to make the pass back out from the post available either. I disagree. PK can not coach. If he could coach, then that team that he took to the NCAA's would have won 25+ games. The poor play and poor discipline of this team reflects directly the poor coaching ability of PK.
