coachacola Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 LU will play against Nederland ex Colton Weisbrod, who starts for UNO, on Monday. From Bob West: Nederland ex Colton Weisbrod, who was the dominant player in Southeast Texas high school basketball last year, has worked his way into the starting lineup for the University of New Orleans and will face Lamar Monday night in the Big Easy. As most everybody who follows area basketball knows, Weisbrod would probably have been playing for LU if Pat Knight had bothered to recruit him. The 6-6 Weisbrod, in five starts for the 4-5 Privateers, is third on the team in scoring (10.8) and rebounding (3.3). His .656 field goal percentage leads the Southland Conference http://www.panews.com/sports/local_sports/west-column-wade-phillips-eager-to-get-back-into-nfl/article_082fa06c-939c-11e4-bdb5-5b0350cecdf2.html Quote
geezer Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 UNO has one win against a D1 opponent. Should be a tough but winnable game. UNO is similar to LU in size, the tallest player on the team listed at 6-8. Quote
