Fourteen games into the 2014-15 season, and the Lamar Cardinals are a lot further along than most people expected, other than the players themselves. Although a 7-7 (.500) overall record may not draw rave reviews from the critics, through 13 games the Cardinals had already reached their win total from the previous two seasons, and are only one shy of doubling its win total from all of last season.

UCA is probably one of the worst teams in all of D1 basketball (thanks to Pat Knight LU has been there!) But it's good to see LU being led by freshmen Bosha and Booze, with 19 and 14 points respectively.

Good win although against a bad team. Really solid first half, would have liked a little better second half. Next three games are important as they are against teams with similar current records and teams we only play once this year. Probably need to win two of three to have a realistic shot at a break even season, which would be great compared to the last two years. Next up at Corpus Monday night.
