I guess beating the spread versus Baylor helped us. A win vs. SHSU this week could really move us up.

I saw us as high as 44 at one point. I know most of these polls if not all are strictly computer based formulas and such but I don't see how we could be as low as 77 as one poll has us.

Some use strength of schedule which probably doesn't mean much after a couple of games. I'm surprised how many teams have dropped down below LU in the rankings. It's time for LU to beat some of these good SLC teams that they haven't been able to in the past.

It's still early with only 6 of the 20 polls used in but the composite has us up to #29 right now with one poll having us as high as# 20...up 20 spots from last week at the moment. SHSU has dropped 6 from #9 to #15

Movin on up now at #24 in the composite with being ranked #5 by Pointshare. The ranking by Bassett never has liked us and it continues with us being at #77 in their poll while they still have Sam at #19...

 

And FUI the FCS Coaches Poll typically comes out at 1PM on Mondays...we'll see where we rank there

Massey has SFA winning 42-14...the Nicholls gets HBU then next week in realistically their only shot at a win this season. I skipped right over those two. Not that it matters. :biggrin:

 

I think there's 2 groups in the SLC with the contenders being LU, SLU, SHSU, McNeese, and UCA.

 

LU has played SHSU and SLU with games to play against McNeese and UCA (both at home).

McNeese hasn't played any of them, with home games against SLU and SHSU, road games at UCA and LU.

SLU has played LU, with road games at McNeese and UCA. (they don't play SHSU)

SHSU has played LU, also with road games at McNeese and UCA.

UCA gets SLU, SHSU and McNeese at home and LU on the road.

 

LU is 1-1 against the contenders, SLU is 1-0, SHSU 0-1, while McNeese and UCA has yet to play a contender. ACU and IWU could play spoiler to any of the contenders.

 

Looks like SLU has the easiest route to the conference title.
