1 week until game day. Let's here some predictions.

I'll stick my neck out early, LU wins by 3 24-21. I've read about several defensive injuries last year that leads me to believe at least some of the late season failure was due to that.

New season, new DC, new attitude. I like Lamar's chances so I'm picking LU by 6. Final score 27-21.

In 2015, Coastal Carolina was 9-3, and received an at large bid to the playoffs, where they lost in the first round to the Citadel. Alex Ross, Mr. All Everything, was the starting QB but he was a senior. They are returning their All American RB, De Angelo Henderson, and some crazy good kick returner, Devin Brown. The new QB's don't seem to be nowhere near as good as the last one but that RB is a stud. He's probably the best RB that Lamar will see all year. Lamar's new defense had better be good at stopping the run. Also, our special teams had better practice kicking the ball out of bounds and not let that kick returner have a shot. You cannot let that Kick Returner make a play. I don't have a clue how good their defense was in 2015 or what the buzz is for 2016.

 

I'm just guessing here, but I think that Lamar's offense will be more balanced then Coastal's but can our defense shut down their running game and vice versa. In my opinion, our best scenario is that the game is close with Lamar having the ball last, with enough time to run a regular offence. Lamar wins a squeaker.
