Has any of the fall sports won a single game this year? Wait, yes they have....out of Soccer, Volleyball, and Football LU is 1-23...great coaching decisions their Mr. AD!👎

Henderson is absolutely horrible. I'm praying to yeezus that when they clean house, the university isn't going to signal that they're going to settle for mediocrity. If so, it's gonna be hard to stay supportive like that.

They finally opened up the play calling a little in the second half thank god. Kade left, Kade right, Kade up the middle isn't gonna cut it. They got the receivers involved some better but I wish they'd utilize their tight ends more. Unfortunately it was a case of "too little too late". Allen looked decent at times actually. Earp finally used the read option they've been begging him to run all year when he came in for Allen after getting injured and busted a long td run. Allen's ankle got better after that REAL fast lol. The Cards had better pull it together and like fast.

Cards have two weeks to work on all of the things that have gone wrong in the first three games. Hopefully as Allen showed the ability to put the ball down field when they finally got away from the run it and swing pass mentality the offense will be more open against SELA. While I have no disagreements with any of the comments about the coaching, one thing we all seem to forget about is that in 2014 we had a proven quarterback in his fourth year in the program and second full year of starting. Last year and year to date Lamar still is trying to find a quarterback. Both quarterbacks got hurt last year but continued to play. Obviously either Earp never was the guy or his shoulder never fully recovered from last year as I don't remember seeing him throw a long ball since. As Allen is a junior, hopefully the freshman quarterbacks will develop and Lamar will not go through this again in the future.

In 2014, the Cards went 8-4. The OC was Larry Kueck. In 2015, Kueck retires, Chuck Langston is named OC, and the record drops to 5-6. Now, in 2016, Langston is in his second year as OC and our offense really sucks. Coincidence or not, you guys be the judge.

you have a good passing game, you can play with anybody. College secondaries aint that great.

one way to put a half ass positive spin on our start. 120 FCS team, probably 110 of em would be 0-3 playing our schedule. then again, with our play, that remaining 110 might also beat us.

throw the damn ball!!

Agree you need a passing game and it has to go down field enough to keep the DB and LB core honest. Also the OL must block, can't have the QB running for his life. The defense still needs to learn to tackle other wise you end up like Texas Tech and most of the Big 12 scoring lots of points but still loosing the key games.

I thought I'd never see a post where someone is missing Larry Kueck but Dracula seems to be that guy. I'm not sure I miss Kueck but this offense is sad. The run and passing games work together to open each other up. The run sets up the pass and when the run isn't working you pass the ball to open up the running game. There is no balance in our offense. One good thing, the uniforms looked great - too bad the Cards aren't playing as good as they look.

I wouldn't know Kueck if he was standing next to me but wasn't the last good passing attack had Kueck as OC?

That's true but the posts on this site complained about Kueck about the same things we are seeing about the current OC. No imagination, lousy play calling and overall opinion that the coaches are inept. Under Kueck people got pissed in some games that the Cards ran the ball in end of game situations instead of passing. The thinking was Coach Ray didn't want to let games get any more out of hand than they already were.

The fact is I think Woodard has had ample opportunity to bring this program up out of the expansion program muck and he really hasn't done it. It looked good early last season when we gave Baylor all they could handle and had some nice wins but when the defense stopped playing worth a darn it didn't matter what the offense did, they just couldn't keep up with a defense who couldn't stop anyone.

That's why we had such high hopes going to this season. New DC, Kade coming back for his senior season, and the offense coming off a pretty productive season overall last year. I wonder if losing Reggie Begelton to graduation meant that we also lost our passing game? I have to say I'm disappointed in the results we've seen in 3 weeks with this team. IMO we should've beaten SAM even though they are the 3rd ranked FCS team in the nation and SELA is a team we should really jump all over but the way we've played I don't think that is going to happen. I can easily see this team going less than .500 and if that's the case then maybe it is time for a change.

Well, time is up. Lamar at home, coming off of a bye week, and a weaker opponent coming in. They had better not just win but show some offense, some defense, hell, some spark or I'm going to start thinking, that maybe we need more than just an OC change.
