Cards Host Huskies on Homecoming

A week after the Lamar University Cardinals three-game win streak came to an end, Big Red returns to action looking to start another streak. The Cardinals are looking to start that new streak Saturday when they squares off against Houston Baptist on Homecoming. The third-ever meeting between the two programs is slated for a 6 p.m. kick off from Provost Umphrey Stadium.

The Cardinals (3-4/3-2 Southland) enter the week in a two-way tie for fourth place in the Southland standings – just a game up on McNeese in the loss column – with four games remaining in the regular season. The Red and White are just a game back of Southeastern Louisiana in the loss column, a team the Cardinals defeated earlier this season.

HBU opened the season winning two of its first three games, but has dropped four straight since a three-point overtime win over Abilene Christian. During the recent four-game skid, HBU has been involved in some close games that resulted in heartbreaking result. HBU dropped a three-point decision, 33-30, to Nicholls just two weeks ago in Houston.

run, run, run, punt. Can we fire an OC during a game. You've got a QB with 4.6 something speed, nobody is watching him, and he always hands off. Lord our offensive game plan sucks, sucks, and then sucks some more. On second thought, can we go get a jr High coach for OC.

Allen got pulled for Robinson. Robinson was hurt and Morse came in. Defense has played with heart. Morse looks like he can run 5 receiver with empty backfield formation.

5 receivers? hell chuckie dont know what to do with 2!
