geezer Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Halftime and LU is up 43-40. Cards came out hot and built a nine point lead, but then after a timeout by UCA the turnover bug hit the Cards and UCA came all the way back to take a brief lead before Lamar got the lead back. Cards will have to take care of the ball better in the 2nd half. Quote

Frenchwood has 6 assists but 5 turnovers. If we can quit handing them the basketball then we'll pick up our first SLC win of the year. Quote
geezer Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 So far the second half is following a similar pattern to the first half as the Cards worked their way out to an eleven point lead before UCA whittles the lead back down to four points at the under 12:00 minute timeout. Quote
geezer Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 At the under four minute timeout Lamar is up by five 73-68. Quote
Skinny1 Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I mistakenly started a thread for this game. Please ignore it. Quote
coachacola Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 LU up by 4 with about a minute left in the game Quote
SportsGuy Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 LU up by 4 with about a minute left in the game LAMAR WINS! We'll take any win on the road... but 7-16 from the FT line won't keep getting it done. Quote
geezer Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 When is the last time LU won their opening conference game on the road? I'll bet it has been many years. Quote
SportsGuy Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 When is the last time LU won their opening conference game on the road? I'll bet it has been many years. Last year at Nicholls. Proceeded to lose 12 of the next 14. Quote
coachacola Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 Nzeakor had a great game scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Quote
geezer Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 In other conference action today, SELA beats IW, McNeese wins over SFA and Nicholls wins over AMCC. The top conference picks continue to struggle early. Conference may be a lot more open than was thought before the season started. Quote
baller Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 We beat them by 3 there and Sam lost there Saturday by 2.That is encouraging. Quote
