2 coaches and the running game

When I heard that RB James White was coming to town, I thought that we had caught lightning in a bottle. Coach Powell's history with building offensive lines, Lamar has some big OL kids, and James White, look out SLC. Can it get any better for the first year? Then, I read and watched the HUDL highlights for RB Cole Starnes. At 6-2, better than 200lbs, runs 4.4, and doesn't mind sticking his head into trouble, It looks like it just did. He'll be on the field this fall. Coach Cam Clark is the recruiting coordinator, I think that he found a gem here.

I read the bio's of the coaching staff again. I stopped after reading the bio's of Schultz and Dodd. What's the point of going on? This coaching staff is heavy heavy on offensive experience and offensive success. I think that LU's passing attack is going to be every bit as good, if not better, than Kueck and Caleb Berry's last year.

So, Drac, did you quit reading out of disgust or joy? Having tons of offensive coaching experience sounds like a really good thing but you make it sound just the opposite. Kueck and Caleb Berry last year????

I had to re-read that too but he said Kueck and Berry's last year...as in their final season (2014). The one thing that drove me crazy about Kueck's offense was the hurry to the line the run the play clock out looking at the sideline. From spring reports it sounds like there will be more of a run to the line and get a play off under the Schultz/Dodd regime. We'll see how much passing there is and how much of that is vertical. Kueck had a lot dink and dunk in his playbook.

Absolute joyful anticipation. This past season's lack of offense drove me nuts.

First, thanks for the clarification KABro. Second, I'm glad you're happy Drac. It will be a really great thing to see the Cards offense find a gear other than 1st. Lots of hope right now for this new regime. I hope I will have time to make some practices when they start. BTW, when do practices start? Right now with no other sports besides MLB going on it's a bleak time. I guess I can watch the British Open golf tournament or Wimbledon but this is a really dead time of year without football.

I'm definitely getting excited and looking forward to this years new look. The players I've talked with seem to like the new program with the added discipline and work ethic.

The few that didn't buy in are long gone. Everyone is on board at this point. Looking forward to an improved outcome this year. #PeckEm
