Deferred kick off. SHS 1st possession TD. Ouch

One play and a SHSU TD. Well two, I guess if you count the on side kick we didn’t get.

Bad start, try a surprise onside kick. The kick almost worked, but Sam got the recovery. First offensive play is a pass that goes for a touchdown as the Lamar defender that had a chance to make the tackle failed to wrap up and the receiver then went the distance with 13 seconds off the clock.

Although Lamar sucks, the officiating isn't any better. Seven penalties called on Lamar, zero against Sam. There was at least one obvious PI that should have been called on Sam.

Can anybody explain why so many plays have helmets coming off. It seems to happen at all levels of play today, but seems like years ago when the helmets weren't near as sophisticated it was rare for one to come off.

Sam gets another TD but misses the extra point with a little over four minutes left in the first quarter for a 16-0 lead.

After the OL Ward lost his helmet i noticed he and the coaches talking to the officials that there was a hands to the face that forced the helmet off. But it is an issue.

Allen at QB seems to look like he can run this offense. Finally, White is playing and had a good run and block.

Still almost 5 minutes left in the first half and Sam Houston St. has 397 yards of offense...

The offense has been much more effective with Allen in but also the play calling has improved it seems

Derrion Randle punches one in to make it 33-20 after the XP was blocked. Randle has looked much better in this game than the limited action he’s seen then thus far in his cardinal career. This is what I was hoping to see from him when he signed in 2015.

Lamar held Sam to a field goal and then Lamar has another good drive ending in a touchdown with a blocked extra point brings the score to 33-20 Sam.

Allen has definitely done a better job of running the offense than we have seen so far this year.

Our Offense has come alive!!! If we could stop them we might have a chance.

Sam Houston punt return for a touchdown takes the score out to 40-20.

Punt coverage has stunk on the last two possessions. After another strong return Sam gets another touchdown with 26 seconds left in the first half to move the score to 47-20 at the end of the first half.

I won't blame kids on punt coverage, Coaches should have had the kid kick it out of bounds & get out of the half.

Kids are playing their tails off, just need your help every now & again Staff. SMH

4:05 into the 2nd half and Sam Houston has tacked on 10 more to make it 57-20.
