geezer
Early in the game and Lamar is up four to zip. Remember going to a game at SIU back in the 60's.
geezer
Lamar has gone cold and committed five turnovers and are currently down by six at 4 -10. Lamar still doesn't have good ball movement in a lot of half court situations on offense. One area I have been disappointed in over the years. geezer
Halftime and LU is down by 14. SIU has played good defense but would have to say LU has been its own worst enemy so far in this game as they have ten first half turnovers, have shot under 30% both from the field and the free throw line. Only real positive for LU has been rebounding as LU has two more rebounds.
coachacola
SFA beat LSU yesterday so LU needs to win today to keep pace.
geezer
Lamar played better in the second half but the hole dug in the first half was too much to over come. Cards were able to close the halftime deficit to seven points before SIU regained control and moved on to a 71 - 61 win. The loss drops the Cards to an eight and two mark. Next game is Tuesday from Pittsburg Pa at six pm Beaumont time.

geezer
Realistically if LU can get a split on this four game road trip it is a success. Of the two known opponents Duquesne and UC-Davis both are off to similar starts as LU and are in equivalent or stronger conferences just as Southern Illinois of the Missouri Valley represented a stronger ranked conference. Duquesne is another true road game and the last two games are at a neutral site.
Skinny1
Duquense should be a win. If we lose to both SIU and Duquesne, we should expect to lose half our conference road games. My fear is we are not near as good as our record indicates. With a senior laden team, we are committing way too many turnovers.
lu cards
i watched this game yesterday and for the most part was very disappointed in our performance.we showed some flashes but overall we are average at best.were getting 0 production from nzeakor.he's a guy that has to step up for us to be good.free throw shooting has been a killer also.
