Half time and LU is down by three after coming back from as much as an eleven point deficit to take a six point lead before Nicholls retook the lead. Weisbrod individually kept the Cards in the game early and has 23 points and four rebounds. Bosha is second in scoring with five points. Nzeakor and Foster each have two fouls.

Lamar falls by five points 79-74. The loss drops Lamar to the 9th slot in the conference. Saturdays game against McNeese will be very important as it is obvious at this point in the season that Lamar will probably be struggling to get into the tourney again. Edited by geezer

Noel anD Bosha are only ones that put out max effort on defense. But ur right, Noel hurts on offense. Another season down the toilet

Wasn’t this team supposed to challenge for the conference championship? Embarrassing!

Yep, this is a senior laden team that had high expectations. I doubt it makes the SLC tourney at this point. Nichols was more talented than we were. We can't consistently score, either from the field or FT line. Nichols was sloppy with the ball with 27 turnovers for the game and they still beat us.

How much more time does Tic have? McNeese canned him after 6 seasons.

Although he wasn't a real go to guy either, when I saw that Albright did not return my expectations for finishing in the top two or three diminished. Nzeakor has improved a good bit but not enough to overcome that loss. The two freshman bigs are doing decent but they both have a ways to develop too. I expected more out of Harrison from how Price talked about him last year, but not playing in games may be a bigger factor than I thought. Robinson has been a somewhat pleasant surprise, but he may just need more court time. The earlier comment that only a couple of guys play all out pretty much every play is probably a tell tale as to why this team is failing to meet expectations. Garth and Harrison both don't seem to really get after it on defense. As for Price's tenure, it took three years for him to go after some legitimate height, maybe another year and he will find a couple of 6'3" guards including a point guard. These 5'10" guards don't cut the mustard. I don't care how good of a three point shot they are in high school, you put somebody guarding them that is four to six inches taller on them and the percentage goes way down.
