Lamar Baseball Swept by SHSU

Lamar was swept this past weekend by SHSU Bearkats. Sam was the preseason pick to win conference by a fairly wide margin, so them taking the opening conference series is really no surprise. Lamar was picked to finish either 7th or 8th.

So is there any sport at LU that doesn't suck the life out of their fans?

Not on the men's side. Jury is still out on the ladies. It is a little disappointing that the lady basketball program didn't win the tourney and get the NCAA bid but they are at the top of the conference. Soccer won conference last year and softball still looks to be improving but the pitching doesn't seem to be as good this year.

The only joy we get on the men's side is hiring the next failure. How long/how many excuses do baseball coaches get? If we are lucky, we will can this guy about 1/2 way through the season and then do the same with Schulz in football season.
