geezer
Granted it was against the one of only two teams behind the Cards in conference play but the Cards got both a series win and a sweep for the first time this year. It wasn't easy as the Cards gave up three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to allow CC to tie the game at seven. The Cards did come back with two runs in the top of the tenth and held the Islanders to win game three. Earlier in the weekend saw the Cards get a 12-2 win Friday and an 11-6 win Saturday afternoon. Kept up with the game this afternoon but waited to post until the game was complete to avoid jinxing the outcome. Maybe this will be a turning point for the program. eagle eye
Maybe (I reaching here) just maybe the Cards bats are beginning to wake up. 32 runs in a 3 game series is pretty good! (I'm really reaching here) The old saying is "....it's not how you start, it's how you finish." That has to be the mantra for the men going forward. The fact they did this on the road is promising. I'm hoping this will sort of kick-start their season.
