At this point the rankings are still based at least partially on last years performance. The SLC has been a middle of the field conference for several years so if the Cards can win the current series with BYU and improve their conference performance over last year they have a shot at moving up quite a ways in the rankings over the course of the season. Hoping for good things this year.
