UIW WEEK

Lamar needs to find a QB that can pass at maybe a 65% completion rate and run as opposed to run and complete about 50%.

That woulda been morse or Dallas..

We'll never know but I don't think from what little bit I saw of him that Morse would have been enough of a run threat. O line still has to improve pass protection.
This is what made me so nervous. UIW has an offense. Copeland 24/35 376 4 TD's 1 INT. Damn shame Hoy got hurt.

Morse ran a 4.8 40. He was plenty mobile enough. The problem is Schulz and his idiotic offensive scheme. A QB’s number one strength should be the ability to pass. Our offensive scheme is STUPID STUPID STUPID and has been since the day he arrived!! The sooner he is gone the better. Schulz obviously doesn’t think a QB needs to be able to throw. Hell, we have NO downfield passing game. Wide receivers are an afterthought. The thing that really sucks is that we are stuck with Dulz and his lame offense for probably at least 2 more years.

Dallas ran a 4.7. He lead WO-S to the state championship 3 straight years; winning twice. He was 3rd team at LU when he decided to concentrate on baseball.

Lamar had 478 yards in total offense against UIW. But, we can't overcome penalties and turnovers.

I doubt either got a real shot at playing...

I thought one of the better calls was the fake field goal, kicker to kicker option..

Yeah, that was a brilliant call...especially knowing that if we had any chance we were going to need a field goal somewhere in the mix.

Here's one possible solution (but again, with our offensive scheme it doesn't really matter): https://www.hudl.com/profile/1312450/Jack-Roe

Although Johnson looks like he may be a good qb..if we'd have a normal offensive scheme.

Morse ran decently in high school. Never would be a runner in college or else he had a good enough arm to play for a big program.
Roe did some good things in High School and definitely has good speed but needs at least one year of nutrition and strength/conditioning to get to a decent weight. I don't believe 170# is big enough to survive the hits he would take. That said in the right scheme he might do a good job.
