It is a four-year deal that runs through the 2023 season, the contract stated." So one more year. Not sure what the buyout is. How about if Lamar was to fire Morgan and have the Assistant Coaches run the program. That way there is little to no extra costs. The outcome probably couldn't get much worse. Then we ponder for a few months. Then we cross off all the best young coaches and coaches that could win immediately with the talent we have. Then we ponder some more while these potential coaches get hired away. Then we wait for the last week of the recruiting season to end. Since Brooks failed last year to claim the bottom sport in basketball, maybe Morgan can do it in football. Having goals in important. lamarfan360 Posted September 27, 2022 Share Posted September 27, 2022 One thing I think is wrong with Coach Morgans philosophy is he does not recruit Juco kids. That is a lot of players to pass on. Plus they give the team some maturity. Mike Deane had the same philosophy of just recruiting high school kids. That did not workout to well for him at Lamar.
