geezer Posted November 20, 2023 Share Posted November 20, 2023 (edited) If the SLC wants some respect it needs to start with Nicholls winning at least two playoff games. Lamar was winless against its FCS non-conference opponents, but both of them are in the top eight seeds and getting a first round bye. Also the fact that both Nicholls and UIW didn't get credit for the probable win they would have had if NWST didn't forfeit probably hurt. TexGator Posted November 21, 2023 Share Posted November 21, 2023 I know that "Past Performance Is No Guarantee of Future Results," but Incarnate Word has playoffs wins the last 2 years... it's really surprising they didn't get an invite. But, we can spin this to a Lamar positive of not having to recruit against 2 playoff teams in the conference. Ross has changed the culture. PeckEm Posted November 26, 2023 Share Posted November 26, 2023 SLC football showed today that they were deserving of no respect. I thought going into conference we were a pretty bad league.
