December 2, 20232 yr Author Nicholls has wins over LSU and South Alabama. McNeese beat VCU, UAB and Texas State. The Islanders beat UTEP. Lamar, as you know has a win over UTSA. Better than average start for the Southland in my opinion. We will see how the conference fairs in December.

It is like Brooks literally learned NOTHING from Pat Foster or Kelvin Sampson Brooks was never meant to be a head coach. Just like Roccaforte before him. I think it takes a bit of luck and a knack for picking a talented assistant that can become a successful head coach. Brooks was a lazy choice by the previous incompetent AD.
