geezer Posted December 3 Posted December 3 Cards take on UL-Lafayette at 6 PM this evening. Cards look for another win against a good D-1 program at home before the SLC opener against A&M Corpus Christi this coming Saturday. Quote
geezer Posted December 4 Author Posted December 4 After being behind most of the game, the Cards have tied it up at 43 with 11:38 left. Quote
geezer Posted December 4 Author Posted December 4 Cards have kept the pressure on and have built an eight-point lead with 3:47 left in the game 56-48. Quote
geezer Posted December 4 Author Posted December 4 Good second half for the Cards, winning 65-55. Quote
puddin tane Posted December 4 Posted December 4 Cajuns were on fire from 3 point land first half. Cards never really looked in sync. 20.00 kinda expensive for a game good win. Peck em Quote
SportsGuy Posted December 4 Posted December 4 Braden East had himself a box score. Is he playing as well as his numbers suggest? Quote

Should have had 6-8 pts more in the first half. He’s going to take a lot of pressure off Holyfield this season. IMO he still looks like he’s a little timid and figuring things out. If he finds that gear he doesn’t know he has… watch out. Quote
puddin tane Posted December 4 Posted December 4 Yeah, not a great first half…..for anybody. I think we missed about 20 shots from less than 2 ft. hand it to the cajuns. They arent any good, multiple starters out for the year, but they fricking hustle. Tenacious d Quote
geezer Posted December 4 Author Posted December 4 My opinion, at his age, East may be the best post player Lamar has had since Gulley. He has a decent jumper, defense is improving steadily, inside game is fair, he is athletic and agile, is getting rebounds and is getting better every game. Quote
coachacola Posted December 5 Posted December 5 LU is 2-0 against the Sun Belt and old conference rivals . Looking at the Massey Composite Ratings the Southland ranks higher than the Sun Belt. It wasn't that long ago when the Southland was near the very bottom. Quote
