geezer Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Cards sweep Northwestern State over the weekend to climb into first place in the conference standings. Cards have nine conference games remaining with three at UNO followed by three at home against Southeastern La who is one game back of Lamar in the loss column and three at HCU to close out the season. RustyG Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Nice sweep. It was good to see the bullpen rise up and shut NW down. Quote
TexGator Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Tied for the conference lead with a series against Southeastern Louisiana coming up. This is a big opportunity for the team to show their mettle. We've stunk in mid-week games but have a matchup with Rice in front of us. A 3-1 or 4-0 week would be HUGE for us. Quote
RustyG Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Hope our starting catcher vs Rice is doing ok and everything is…. as it’s supposed to be. He took a nasty hopper while warning up between innings and was face down in the dirt for about as long as I’ve ever seen for that particular injury and had to leave the game. Tear em up this weekend Cards! Quote
geezer Posted May 3 Author Posted May 3 Lamar falters on the next to last weekend and now will need help as well as sweeping HCU next week get the regular season championship and guarantee themselves the second seed for the conference tournament. Quote
geezer Posted Monday at 02:58 AM Author Posted Monday at 02:58 AM Cards locked up the second seek with a game left and Davis parks his starters treating today more like a midweek that doesn't matter, dropping the final game. Personally, I never like giving a game away. 1 Quote
geezer Posted Monday at 05:23 PM Author Posted Monday at 05:23 PM Has anyone heard anything about Olivier? He had a couple of less than usual starts including a three innings pitched loss to Oregon State and a five innings pitched loss to Nicholls and then did not pitch at all this past weekend. Quote
geezer Posted yesterday at 03:24 PM Author Posted yesterday at 03:24 PM Will Lamar go 0 for two and out at the conference tournament again? Quote

geezer Posted yesterday at 09:04 PM Author Posted yesterday at 09:04 PM Cards pull out a win in their second game of the tourney and will play the loser of the evening game today, tomorrow at 1 PM. Olivier gets the win. Quote
RustyG Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago The hottest team in the tournament is McNeese. They gave SELa a loss last night. Quote
