We have had 3 years of those. When does the team wake up?

 

Holy shit, guys! This is a team that won a bowl game last year. Everyone just needs to settle down about the outcome of this game.

 

Yep, this is exactly how I feel. If our offense just stopped turning the ball over this would be a respectable game. I think ULL is pretty good squad, we've moved the ball at times and converted quite a few 3rd downs, but we fumble the ball like crazy.

 

I came into this game expecting a bad score, my prediction of 48-17 was being very generous to us.

I am hoping to see some push being created by the Oline and no more turnovers. And the defense to keep oolala to no more than 10 pts in the second half. That would be a win for the cards at this point.

I agree with CK. I just think he is being unfair to oolala. We are losing this cause we are bad not necessarily cause oolala is good. But oolala is GOOD. I dont agree with CA. If your a good FCS team you should be able to keep up with any FBS team in the first half. It is not usually til the second half that the scores get bad.

I know this is a big understatement, but they probably shouldn't have started the season against a FBS team. New OC, new QB, new WRs, and basically a new OL (especially with the move of Gillam from center). Offensive mistakes has led to a lot of points by ULL. That should improve.

 

It's way too early to say this season will be a disaster. We need to see what this team will do against FCS teams, not bowl-caliber FBS teams. The Cajuns are not a top 25 team but probably a top 50 team. Let's see how Lamar responds this second half and next week against PVAMU.

I'm not a crazy Sam Houston homer, I have high expectations on my own team as well, and I know where ya'll are coming from, I lived through Whitten.

Noone expected us to beat ULL (I was really hoping), but we could see this again against SAM / SFA / McSleeze. I am not saying that we cannot recover this year but come on CA. Lets call a spade a spade.

based on the way we're playing right now I can already tell we will do better against SFA and SHSU. I just don't think this is as bad as you're making it out to be. Don't look at the score look at what has happened. We have moved the ball at times, remember the TXST game last year? I think we got our first down at the end of the first half, this is a different team.

I'm being 100% serious. I've been the most reasonable one here, I was thinking the game would be maybe 50-7 but gave us a homer bump and predicted 48-17.

 

Our defense is alot better than last year, it's very evident. This is the first game of the season against a school in a different division, we might not have a great record but I think we will look better than last year.

I am not a fair-weather fan. I live in Dallas, and I'm an Astros fan. There's nothing fair-weather about that. Likewise, I watch every LU sporting event I can, be it in person or online. What is your problem? If you say you're a Lamar fan, why are you starting fights with LU alums? Chill out.
