puddin tane Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 naw...that would be "crossing guard" orange...which is good...prepares em for life after SHSU Quote

coachacola Posted October 18, 2012 Author Posted October 18, 2012 Was looking at the depth chart for the game. Here's the starting OL for Lamar: LT Colton Collins (6-3, 310 lb Sr-1L) - Brock is now the backup LG Ian Kelso (6-0, 280 lb So-1L) C Kyle Gillam (6-1, 270 lb Jr-2L) RG Sean Robertson (6-1, 270 lb Sr-1L) - I think Wempa started last week RT Stephen Babin (6-4, 280 lb Jr-2L) Going with a little bit more experienced lineup this week with Collins and Robertson starting. That's a 282 lb average. UCA's OL average is 285 with two freshmen and two sophomores. How come they can win with a young and relatively small OL? Quote

You guys can shell it out but you cant take it. Quote

Dream Weaver Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 noticed on the other thread that their all-slc lineman is suspended so their normal offensive line is more experienced than that. is justin brock hurt or just not getting the job done? Quote
Guest CardAmbassador Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I think we read to much into the weight of some of these guys, there are NFL linemen the same weight as some of our lineman. The difference is strength and skill, Not every 300lb guy is built the same. Is that weight carried in the gut or in muscle, that's a better indicator of how good you're going to be. I think our S&C program needs to be looked at more. Quote
coachacola Posted October 19, 2012 Author Posted October 19, 2012 Christopher Dabe @cmdabe Arkansas-based reporter @jeremypeppas will tweet from the Lamar/UCA football game Saturday for @Beaumont_Sports. geezer Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Also how much truth stretching is in the weights. I know what 300# looks like and some of guys don't look like their weight. Quote
