    Massey Ratings Weber State - 10 They moved up 5 spots this week Lamar - 64 We moved down 9 spots this week after what looks like a lackluster win. Would be a statement win for this season for LU to pull off a victory. Weber ranked in the top 25 in Massey and both FCS polls. I have faith that Rossomando will have them ready with a chance to win. We continue to grow under Coach Pete, but we are headed in the right direction.

    I am like everyone else, expected LU to win bigger. Glad they won and will take the double digit win. I know you cannot compare scores, but still puzzling that they played to a 7 point lost to SWT and then watched SWT blow out UTSA by 39. It will take a few more games to get a bearing on where LU is, but I have to believe at this point they are better than they have been in a while.

    SWT now up 28 - 3 with 4 minutes left before half. Maybe LU is better than we think.

    A&M throttles McNeese, to be expected. On another note, SWT is up 18 on UTSA late in the 2nd Qtr.

    One other observation, from the evidence I see through through last season and 1 game this year against a Group of 5 team who thinks they are better than everyone, Rossomondo is a quality coach and a great hire for LU. I think he can get us in the FCS playoffs and win consistently at Lamar, for as long as we can keep him!

    Southwest Texas State - 48 Lamar - 24 I am probably more optimistic than most. I am interested to hear what Puddin thinks about this game.

    Has anyone been able to go to see a practice? I am not in a position to do that anymore. Wondering if anyone had a report on how the Cards are looking.

    I went back this morning and looked at the roster. I do not have "snapshots" of the earlier 2024 rosters, but it seems like there are a lot of new names I have not seen before and I am sure there are missing names. Maybe some of you guys have more intelligence on what is going on with the roster.

    In the current state of college athletics, it has to be extremely harder today for the below P schools to hold a roster together.

    I searched and could not find anything on Menefee and Rasberry being anywhere else . Rasberry's X account still shows Lamar. I am thinking they may have had an academic issue getting in, but really have no clue. Both, from their HS careers, look like they would be really good additions.

    Wow, I missed SFA rejoining the conference. I am good with that. Sammy State going to continue to flounder.

    6 Conference games, 2 at home and 4 away. No consolation there. I am thinking that Rossomando has things going in the right direction. If we slip up on Tx State and beat them (Southwest Texas to me), then this could be a special season.
