  1. Would be nice to have 10k plus in attendance next week!
  2. McCown had a really solid game statistically. Looks like he is continuing to develop!
  3. This team is showing that they are opportunistic and can make plays!
  4. ESPN is showing a final score of 33-23 Cards
  5. Great comeback win! Cardiac Cards! I am happy with a 10 point win on the road!
  6. I will take a win by any margin, but I am hoping for a convincing win over East Texas State. 🤣 i see they changed there name again, I guess to be more regional. If they were going to be regionally accurate, it would be Notheast Texas A&M.
  7. The UnT game wasn’t as close as I hoped. Had they played closer, it would have helped LU with the computer rankings, and maybe the pollsters.
  8. I say we stay with McCown at QB. I am hoping the offense continues to improve as he continues to develop. on another note, UNT plays #25 USF. That game should tell us a little more about UNT and our opener against them.

  11. I agree, SFA and SE La look to be dominat in there wins, while we look less dominant. But we may find out (I think enough evidence is already there) that UIW really isn’t that good this year, and we can’t read a big SFA win over them as SFA being the team to beat. We just beat Nichols who has a 2 score victory over UIW. I know comparing score is by no means a very good way to make judgments, but you can’t totally discount it either.
  12. Do you guys think McCown is the QB of the future?
  13. This is a good win! A win is a win is a win. 4-1 and 1-0 in conference is the right direction for the program!
  14. Where is everybody? Big game to open conference! A win would be great momentum and further progress toward being a top 25 FCS program. Big question is who will start at QB?

  16. Redbirds move up 2 spots to 20 in the Stats 25 Poll.
  17. Cards crack the top 25 FCS coaches poll.
  18. I like the fact that the Cards are winning while being behind on the offensive/defensive stats. For this game, turnovers was the key stat. That, and LU’s ability to get in the end zone!
  19. Birds hang on for the win! This should set the table for conference! LU should move up a little in the rankings.
  20. Damn, Puddin! I love your wit!
  21. This would be a good win if we can get the “W” tonight. the North Texas loss isn’t looking as bad, 5 wins into the season.
  22. Not a good night for the SLC. SFA had a credible win against Cal Poly, RGVU won big over Texas Wesleyan. Everyone else lost.
  23. I don’t like Bye weeks. Nothing to look forward to on a Saturday, and no chance to be excited about a win or disappointed about a loss. Hoping for lots of excitement this season!
  24. I guess I am surprised that LU’s football budget is 21 st in the nation for FCS schools. We have the budget to be competitive on the national level.
