Lamarcard81 Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Early forecast for Saturday is high 70's and partly cloudy. We CAN beat UCA and we need to pack the stadium and take this monumental step forward as a CONTENDER AND WINNER in the Southland! I hope the athletic department has some kind of blitz on to sell tickets. These kids deserve to walk into a packed stadium this Homecoming. Some of those Seniors have been thru hell these past 3 seasons. Everybody do your part the players have done theirs! GO BIG RED! Quote
BSFwins Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 The family will be there! Agree, let's pack the place!! Quote
LUSportsFan Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 2 more. We're looking forward to going to the game. Sent from my Android device using Tapatalk 2 Quote

dirtybird Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 We will be there, and bringing out of town family. I have a feeling this will be a breakout game for Lamar. GO out and win the game. Quote
coachacola Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 I went online to see what tickets are available and there's less than 500 general admission tickets for sale on the east side and probably around 1500 or so white/green seats available on the west side. Any chance of a sellout since this is the homecoming game? Quote
geezer Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 I may be wrong but I really don't think tickets for sale is what is needed to fill the house. What is needed to fill the house is for a lot more of the students to show up. The empty student seats aren't for sale as I know it. Quote
LUSportsFan Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 There are a lot of open seats on the press box side also. I think we need to work on filling both sides. I do hope we have a great student turnout. If we can get more students involved, it would help energize our side of the stadium a little more. Let's pack it on both sides and have a good time. We need to get to the point that our game is THE EVENT in the area. Sent from my Android device using Tapatalk 2 Quote
Card Nation Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Absolutely! Weather forecast says about 70 degrees at game time , partly cloudy with low humidity. Great chance for a big turnout Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
LU4LIFE Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 My brother and I will be there can't wait Quote
LAZEEK Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 2 for me. We will also do the BRI Pregame Show from 4:30-5:15 Quote
Guest mendelj Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 How does the BRI Pregame Show work and where does it take place at 4:30-5:15? Quote
LAZEEK Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 We set up outside the south side of the Dauphine Athletic Facility. Tent will be up, and our signs will be up. We will have Coach Ray Woodard on as a guest for a few minutes. Feel free to stop by and say hi. Mitch and Rob will be there doing the pregame show. Quote

Big T Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 If the line for the voting for the HC king and queen is any indication to the amount of students going to the game... The student section would be PACKED! Quote
coachacola Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Last year the team was 2-4 heading into homecoming against McMurry and attendance was over 13K. You would think with Lamar being 3-3 and after playing SHSU close they'd have a good homecoming crowd against UCA. Quote

You would think with Lamar being 3-3 and after playing SHSU close they'd have a good homecoming crowd against UCA. That also assumes the average fan keeps up with their progress on the road, which sadly, isn't always the case. Some people only remember the last game they saw at home. I bet if you asked students who Lamar played the week before Sam, only about 10% may know that it was a bye week, the rest will say they don't know. Quote

Last year LU had larger crowds at their first two home games than this year so that's a concern. Quote
Lamarcard81 Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 What is the latest on the weather forecast? is there any kind of media push in the Golden Triangle regarding homecoming and the game? Quote

I know that was the issue at Sam, they know who is playing in the next game as long as it's a home game, but most of them don't follow along for the whole season. Hope you have a good turnout regardless. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 According to forecasts, looks like it will be a rainy Saturday for homecoming. Glad I will be in press box for this game. ;D Quote
