Big T Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 The schedule has been posted. http://www.lamarcardinals.com/schedule.aspx?path=mbball Overall, a very weak non conference schedule. Wish we would stop scheduling NAIA and DIII schools. I understand that you want to get home games, but go ahead and schedule some home and home series and play the first game on the road and get them at the Montagne next season. I hate seeing Lamar play these cupcake teams. Quote

Give him a chance to build the program including upgrades in the schedule, we'll get there. In the mean time, enjoy the wins because they are hard to come by. Quote

Well, I am not to sure Tic will upgrade the home schedule if who they played while he was at McNeese is any indication. His 1st year 2001-2002 (he probably inherited the schedule) Had 1 non conference home game vs Loyola of La. 2nd year (2002-2003) home non-conf.: Loyola of La, Tx Weslayan 3rd year (2003-2004) home non-conf.: Spring Hill, Loyola of La., Centenary, La Tech 4th year (2004-2005) home non-conf.: Louisiana College, Jarvis Christian, Spring Hill, W. Caney College. 5th year (2005-2006) home non-conf.: Louisiana College, Texas College, Miss Valley State, La Tech, & ULL 6th year (2005-2006) home non-conf.: Mary Hardin-Baylor, Spring Hill, Louisiana College There was no 7th year for Tic at McNeese. The non-conf road games were impressive playing LSU every year, also had Richmond, Auburn (2), Texas (2), Alabama, Miss St (2), S. Miss, Houston, Liberty (2), La Tech (2), ULL (3), Arizona St, George Mason (2), and Ark- Little Rock - btw, Mcneese did not win any of these games with the exception of ULL once. geezer Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I hope he upgrades the schedule in the future, but I wouldn't count on it. Next year he will have his third recruiting class and if he is going to upgrade it should start next year. Quote

coachacola Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 Why don't we turn in a winning season before we start playing a harder schedule. Because playing those non-D1 games are meaningless wins and most fans don't care about these games. Quote
