eagle eye Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Lamar stops ACU on downs and it looks like it will be LU 41 ACU 21. Nice win but LU needs to clean up that pass defense. Wrong again. Record setting field goal to make it 44-21 with 2 minutes and change left. Nice win I'm just sorry I couldn't go to the game. Quote
geezer Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Good drive by Lamar ending with a Alex Ball 41 yard field goal with 2:47 left in the game. LU 44 ACU 21. Quote
NorthoftheBorder Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Harrington has set the LU and Southland Conference single game rushing record at 329 yds on 25 carries. Quote
NorthoftheBorder Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 13,136 announced attendance. I was one of them. Just got home. Very nice home (press box) side crowd. East side was about 1/3 full. Quote
geezer Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Great game for Harrington. According to the Stats he had 347 net yards rushing. Quote
bigred360 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 I'll take the win but we have a bad tendency of allowing too many 2nd half points. Quote
CardinalClaw2 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 I don't know what happened to the defense in the second half, they just started giving up the big play. Why they stuck with the wildcat for as long as they did baffles me. Other than the first drive they used it, it didn't work. When ACU figure out they weren't going to throw it they sold out to stop the run. Quote
bigcam2903 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Great Game Cards!!!! Defense is a problem at times, don't know why platoon of players in the game & it's still undecided. Harrington was killing these guys on the ground, I would have allowed him to get 500 yds. Again Mr Randle Jr, words can't explain the Joy we feel watching you do your thing. God has truly Blessed you with many Talents, but being a Humble person is the most satisfying. #HOTROD20 Quote
KABrother88 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 FWIW next week's opponent NWSt. is dead last in the conference in rush defense giving up 312 yards a game on the ground including 438 to SELA to open the season...hopefully another big night in store for Kade Quote
cardinal Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Go Lamar, big home game. Big crowd exciting fans. Big WIN, to boost the team for the race to conference champions. I think Lamar talent is the best in Southland. Spread the ball AROUND, utilize more players on offense, we need 40+ points to win games, from here on out. Secondary work on better pass coverage & tackling. Lamar has good talent players to win it all now 2015. Think big we can do it. Win conference, we don't have to worry about making the playoffs its automatic. We can do it.. Man I wish we wouldn't use Kade so much. Think how good we'd be if he didn't run for 347 yards! Lmao Quote
NorthoftheBorder Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 We did spread the ball around the receiving corp better this game. Beggleton didn't get as many touches and other receivers, except Jace Nelson, had the ball thrown their way. Quote
