geezer
There's a reason I called myself Geezer. I'm old school in many things, especially electronic. Also Timewarner doesn't make it this far.

geezer
Sorry my TV provider doesn't have access to the PAC-12 network and I can't get the TV feed from Oregon State either.
geezer
Saw where Lamar got out to an early lead. Got home with about 15 minutes left in the game and find Lamar winning by 10.
geezer
Lamar has gone 3:30 minutes without scoring and OSU has cut the lead to five points with 12 minutes left in the game.
geezer
8:00 minutes left in the game and Lamar is up by five 46 to 41. Lamar is doing a good job so far of taking care of the ball as they have seven turnovers to this point as compared to twenty five for OSU. geezer
Three and a half minutes left in the game and Lamar is up by three at 50 - 47. We'll see if LU can hold onto this game. Doesn't seem like the shot selection has been real good the last ten minutes or so. Edited November 17, 2016 by geezer
geezer
Lamar has missed four straight free throws in the last 30 seconds of the game so far. 23 seconds left and Lamar up by One.
geezer
Lamar comes back on the free throws and make 7 of 8 over the last 23 seconds of the game to win 63-60. A road win against a power five conference team. Great job Cards.

coachacola
Didn't see the game but looking at the stats Weisbrod had a double-double with 16 pts, 12 rebounds. The stat that stands out is that OSU had 27 TOs compared to only 9 for LU. Newcomers Noel, Frenchwood, Weisbrod and Albright had 32 of LU's 63 points. SportsGuy
WHAT A FREAKING WIN! The biggest non-conference win since 2008 when Steve Roccaforte's team knocked off Pat Knight's Texas Tech Red Raiders at the Montagne. It's still too early to see what this team is made of come March, but you have to love the non-stop energy and grit from tonight's win. No one expected them to win (and if you say you did- then you're LYING ) but the defense was OUTSTANDING. Shots will start falling, but if they keep playing "D" like this then Lamar is headed for a special season.
Dracula
http://www.oregonlive.com/beavers/index.ssf/2016/11/oregon_state_mens_basketball_s_10.html I got a feeling that the Oregon State team had better bring their running shoes to the next practice. Back in the day, my football coach would call it a gut drill.
PeckEm
Ok. I watched the whole game. I was ecstatic we won but I'm definitely not breaking out the champagne bottle yet. What I liked: for the most part we played well as a team. Our point guard did a good job running the show, seems like we had very few turnovers. Nzeakor looks good. Good quickness in the post with some nice post moves. I was a bit surprised that the Nederland kid played inside for the most part. But, I really like his aggressiveness and he seems to be a talented kid, he really has some nice moves in the post and provided a tough matchup for their bigs because he was quicker than they were. Albright looks like he might be pretty good. I was impressed with his shooting touch. I wouldn't be surprised if he's one of our best 3 point shooters (and he's 6' 8"). For most of the game our defense played well and essentially won the game with all the turnovers they created. What I didn't like: we shot the ball horribly even though I thought we had nice shot selection. I'm concerned about our lack of size. And we played very poorly down the stretch with some really dumb fouls and poor free throw shooting with the game on the line. Believe it or not this is a game we easily could have and probably should have won by 10-15 points because Oregon State played terrible. They constantly turned the ball over. I think at one point we had like 40 shots compared to their 17. Oregon State was very big but they seemed slower than us and the announcer kept mentioning how young they were. Anyway, all in all still a great win.
lu cards
i agree we didn't beat duke or Kentucky but it is a pac 12 team and this point any win for our program is a good win.i liked our ball movement but we have to shoot way better.overall it was ugly but we hustled and did what we had to do to win.hopefully this is the beginning of something good. Skinny1
I'm shocked Lamar won. More shocked we actually held on in the last 10 minutes to win.

You don't need size to win the Southland.

You don't need size to win the Southland. I agree about the size issue, it shouldn't be much of a factor in the slc. It's way too early to tell but what I think I liked the best of all was just how we looked overal. For the most part we seemed very poised (minus the last minute or so). We played very hard defensively and we took good care of the ball. We actually looked like a pretty good basketball team that played as a team. And even though we shot poorly I thought our shot selection was good. We were patient when we had to be but took the three when it was there.
