Cardinals Participate in Southland Media Day - Lamar University Athletics (lamarcardinals.com) Nothing encouraging in this report. Lamar picked next to last. Quote from the report, which I will put on Morgan, Lamar is going to be young in 2022. Isn't that the same warning for each of Morgan's seasons. Lamar is even picked below transitioning Commerce. I know each FCS school has more total players than the scholarships limit with some being partial, but 41 is nearly two thirds of the total scholarship number of 65. Also, this is year three for Morgan, where are the players from the first two years?

Can we start out by saying we are the youngest team in the country again. Does that excuse ever really get old. You know it is coming! So let me get this straight, a former qb is now a wr. He would see more action as the big red mascot. We do not use receivers. Thats why they all transfer.

I remember Morgan saying he was going to build a team using high school players and not JUCO players when he first came to LU. That was a big mistake and probably everyone knew it except him. Has he learned from that? Nope. Do the big wigs that make these hiring decisions ever learn from their mistakes? Nope. Will LU athletics forever suck? Probably.

I am amazed that he gets any offensive player to sign. I can only imagine how bad they have to be. I bet most of our offensive signees this past year only received one offer. Unless he drastically changes the offense, we are going to be HORRIBLE!
