I just listened to Rossamondo's presser from yesterday and he said McCown just got his bell rung and he is good to go for Saturday.

NW State is definitely down this year. Hope they get their program back on track soon. On paper, looks like an easy win. LU needs to come in and handle business the way they are supposed to and not play down to the competition. Anyone know the extent of the injury to McCown's left hand? I think we are a better offensive team with him at QB.

Couple of questions for you guys. 1) What are the top 3 or 4 polls with the most credibility? I would say that the FCS Coaches Poll and the Stats 25 Poll would be the top two. 2) I wonder what the longest stretch of weeks in row LU has been in a top tier poll in football. This year has the potential to be that. I do not ever remember being in the polls for more than 3-4 weeks in row, but my memory isn't what it used to be.

Saw the official attendance was 8,283. Was hoping for more. The home side looked about 2/3 full from the video I saw

The Chronicle is always taking a dump on LU. Their statement of a bunch of "ridiculous" penalties is typical. The targeting was a good call. I have no idea what "Leverage" is, and for sure could not tell anything from the highlights.

And that pisses me off!!

So Wikipedia shows the 85 poll and lists us as Lamar Tech, which was not the name for 10 years by that time. SMH!

LMAO! I am no fan of SVP, but that segment was hilarious! We will take all the publicity we can get! Go Cards!!

Big jump in the FCS coaches poll for the Redbirds. SELA jumped in at 22, SFA is 27th in votes. I expect all three to be in the rankings by the time SELA rolls into Beaumont in week 11 of the schedule. Last 3 games are SELA, SFA & McNeese. I think that will be the games that make or break a playoff spot for the Cards.

Ok, I am biting. I say we finish 9-3. We would likely not make the playoffs as the losses would be to SFA and SELA. And they would get the only 2 SLC bids. This would be a good season, more improvement, show we are going in the right direction. But we will be disappointed not being in the playoffs! Having said that, I have real hope (not pie in the sky hope) that we will go 10-2 and make the playoffs! I really feel we have a chance, and I am believing in Rossomando more each passing week!

Would be nice to have 10k plus in attendance next week!

McCown had a really solid game statistically. Looks like he is continuing to develop!

I will take a win by any margin, but I am hoping for a convincing win over East Texas State. 🤣 i see they changed there name again, I guess to be more regional. If they were going to be regionally accurate, it would be Notheast Texas A&M.

The UnT game wasn’t as close as I hoped. Had they played closer, it would have helped LU with the computer rankings, and maybe the pollsters.

I say we stay with McCown at QB. I am hoping the offense continues to improve as he continues to develop. on another note, UNT plays #25 USF. That game should tell us a little more about UNT and our opener against them.
