Earp appears to be done for the night as the video feed showed him with his jersey off and it looks like he was headed to the locker room.

UCA gets a long punt return to set up a four play drive for a touchdown at the 13:46 mark left in the 2nd quarter.

After a long pass that set UCA up for another potential shutdown Lamar defense tightens up and forces a UCA fg Lamar has another three and out but UCA fumbles the punt and LU recovers.

Carranco with another FG to make it 10-6...UCA'a run defense is as advertised

What is the LU coaching staff thinking. A squib kick for the kick off? Surely they weren't trying an on-side and screwed that up that badly. As a result of the kick off UCA got the ball on the 50 for the last possession of the first half. Talk about asking a lot out of your defense. Why not just tell Caranco to kick it out of bounds. That would guarantee the ball at the UCA 35.

Bethany gets an interception to end UCA's threat and get LU into halftime only down by four.

Carranco'a biggest struggle fillling in as K dating back to 2014 is kickoffs...we were close to last in the country that year if I remember correctly in terms of kick coverage...part of that was due to kicks landing at the 5-10 yard line and not much hang time. Last week we continually squibbed but it didn't look like Northwestern St. was prepared for it...I'm sure UCA saw that on film and has prepared for it.

To which Lamar tries to throw a bomb and then tries a run that results in a Safety. UCA 12 LU 6

Defense holds again...offense had to show some form of life...defense is doing more than their share right now

Puddin ought to be happy, LU has been throwing the ball deep on first down, just not completing anything and then 2nd and third down goes backwards. Maybe if they would try something in between the bomb and the screen LU could move the ball a little.

Good drive by Lamar a few in between distance passes, at least one good run and a little help from UCA with a couple of penalties, but still a good drive.
