3 PM start at home. I'm irritated, I have something I have to go to and will miss most of the game. Worse yet I will miss all of the MBB game at Pacific

  4. Started by geezer,

Lamar travels west to Pacific. It looks like their offense has been inconsistent this year. They appear to have pretty good size. Hope the Cards are up to this one. Lamar has never defeated Pacific.

Lamar Men take on the UTSA Roadrunners tonight at the Montagne Center. UTSA come into the game with a 1-1 record, beating Western Illinois by 10 points, the losing to a Big Ten team by about 20.

Lady Cards take their 2-0 record to Lubbock tonight versus Texas Tech. Tech leads the series 11-1, but with our size and depth, I like our chances.

  11. Started by TexGator,

The Cardinals are moving on from Coach Brandon Crisp. Let's hope the next coach can bring the winning back to Beaumont. The Cardinals have proven they can win in previous years; time to bring that back.

  12. With everything happening in the Brazos Valley, let's thank our lucky stars we have Coach Rossomando building a culture at Lamar on and off the field of being winners (and at a cheaper price per season than Jimbo costs per game). If we win this Saturday (rivalry game- anything can happen) over a team that's been outscored 137-277 on the field this season (their only win being the Demons' forfeit), it's a winning season... a far cry from how we felt just a year ago.

  13. Started by geezer,

Three PM start. A win by the Cards would put Lamar in a share for the championship and possible automatic playoff berth depending on the final regular season game and the tie-breaker scenarios. I am not looking past tomorrow but without a win tomorrow it's a crap shoot if Lamar could get a playoff berth even with a win over McNeese.

  16. Started by Skinny1,

For the 2nd night in a row, Lamar basketball is playing in the Metroplex. Tonight the ladies take on UTA at 7pm. Expecting a Cardinal win. I know OMalley (AD) was planning on being at the SMU game last night, but is probably going to Austin today for Lamar Soccer upset win versus Texas today at 6pm.

  21. Started by geezer,

Lamar takes on A&M Commerce Saturday at 3 PM. By records this should be a Lamar win as Commerce lost to both HCU and UIW, but they have played a stiff schedule and although I think Lamar is much improved, Lamar will still need to play well. As with every game winning the line of scrimmage is key, both ways. Losses to three top fifteen teams and an FBS school aren't enough to continue to receive votes in the rankings.
