The Red Zone Pre-Game Show presented by Mathews Jewelers, Brent Walters Allstate Agency, PRN Medical and Big Rich Courville is back on Homecoming Saturday for the Lamar/Central Arkansas game. Show time is 4:30-5:15. We will discuss the game, and LU Head Coach Ray Woodard will be on the show. We will be broadcasting from just outside the Dauphine Athletic Complex. Come by during the show and say hi!!!

Early forecast for Saturday is high 70's and partly cloudy. We CAN beat UCA and we need to pack the stadium and take this monumental step forward as a CONTENDER AND WINNER in the Southland! I hope the athletic department has some kind of blitz on to sell tickets. These kids deserve to walk into a packed stadium this Homecoming. Some of those Seniors have been thru hell these past 3 seasons. Everybody do your part the players have done theirs! GO BIG RED!

I promised before, and I'm a man of my word, Lamar played damn well last night. If that game had been in Beaumont, I think the Cards may have come out on top. Sam's offense didn't show up last night, and I"m not even sure they were in the same area code. Lamar's Run D stopped our running game and smothered Flanders. I think at the end of the 3rd, he only had 14 carries for 12 yards! Lamar is much improved, and you guys have some good things in the work down the line. Well done.

They didn't get the "big prize" this week, but both were listed in the Honorable Mention group of their respective categories. According to the SLC, a player must receive at least 25% of each school's SID to be listed. (Our SID couldn't vote for our players.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SE Louisiana players received both Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors. Sam Houston's punt returner, Torrance Williams, received Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
