Im hoping that a starter is selected before the season based on results and the coaching staff sticks with them.

I feel that the large schools like UT and TAMU need this, but LU, as an FCS school, would basically be a Div II school if this were to happen. We would need to get to the mid major level (FBS) to maintain any semblence of recognition for the university. I also feel recruiting would take a step backwards as potential recruits would then see FCS as an even lower level than they do now.

This might be one of the biggest season we will have to date. A 7 win season would be phenomenal for LU. If they win 7 games then Woodard probably does not become a lame duck head coach coaching under a 1 yr deal next year and it will help with recruiting. We need to start winning the recruiting battles in our own back yard and steal from Houston area. Winning 7 games would drive attendance way up I feel and being competitive in losses which many fans can respect a good game. Also filling the house every week will allow you to expand your stadium and upgrade (Baylor wins for a few yr and look at what they are building. TCU as well) We will never have that kind of money bu…

He was a Rivals 3-star player out of high school back in 2011.
