wasnt to long ago that setx was a hot bed for the slc.mcnesse owned this area.i looked at this years signings of all slc schools and only one local kid signed with an slc school.this is second year in a row that mcneese got "0" kids from here.i know lamar bringing back football has played a part in this but seems to be more to it.thoughts???

I know there is another Thread on this, but it is a bit dated and 16 pages long. I posted this on our board in December and am now just getting around to posting it here. Bergeron is the Louisiana all-state QB we recruited last year. This is no surprise, bergeron is a full spread QB and will be headed to a spread team. Bergeron said he saw the writing on the wall when Whitten left and Kueck came in. He said he did what he could to help our defense defend against spread teams and worked with Coach Bradley to help in any way he could. He said coach Woodard fully understood and gave him a full release. Coach told him we will never run a spread with Kueck here so he undestood the transfer. I don't know if there was a question about him coming out early for the NFL but he officially stated on twitter that he'd be coming back to SHSU for his senior season.

He had an offer from LU among others.

After watching that press conference video it's obvious that Pat Knight wouldn't object or hold him back. It's also obvious to me that he could be the best QB we have on campus right now. If he was good enough for Chip Kelly and Oregon to give him a shot, then why not Lamar? Swallow yur pride coach and go get this kid to consider strapping on the pads again for a couple seasons.

we need juco players like O-LINE, DBACKS,and did i say O-LINE like the ones at ASA college starting line is 6'6"and 6'5" players.Navarro college has some 6'5"but they look out of shape.WE NEED THEM NOW!!!

Congratulations to Sam for winning at Montana St. last night to reach the FCS Semi-Finals. While personally I would never root for Sam in conference it is good for all of the SLC to have a team going deep into the playoffs almost each year.
