not sure if any other market baskets are doing this but the port neches market basket has a killer lamar football display.miller light has set up a mock tailgate in the store with a canopy,banners,lamar ice chest and even a tv playing lamar highlights.thought it was really cool.offered to buy the banners and cooler but manager said they cant sell it.left my number in case they give any of it away.

I know we had quite a few recruits for several different sports on campus last Saturday so does anybody know if we signed any of them? Or how much they liked Lamar?

obviously losing Coleman is huge but Woodard says hes still confident in the defense. Expects James Washington, Anthony Beard and Asim Hicks to all step up DePauldrick Garrett feels he's ready and wants to play but will not be released yet. So he will not suit out again this week. Jacob Hanna has received reps at RB with Logan a little banged up and Garrett injured. Woodard feels the win vs SELA was his biggest win as a coach. Woodard is also surprised that there were still a couple thousand tickets still available for the game Saturday. He feels that the team is 3-1, 1-0 in conference and they have a good team in NW State who's coached by a local guy coming…

he's done for the season with an ankle injury....per Woodard at todays press conference. Obviously this is a big hit to the Lamar defense. He has ligament damage and will apply for a medical redshirt.

Looks like live music from the Jazz Innovators for tailgating this week. We are having pork kabobs and bacon wrap jalapenos on the grill.

So today the athletic department was getting into social media. They posted on Twitter and Facebook the 1st 2 students to come over and get their tickets for the game while also saying the code word would win 10 bucks to Buffalo Wild Wings. I got right over there and got mine. They also filmed me and took a pic. Hopefully they can continue contests like this to help promote on campus involvement in athletics. AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas quarterback Garrett Gilbert, who lost his starting job after two games and then had season-ending shoulder surgery, plans to transfer. Gilbert was given an unconditional release from his scholarship to find another school.
