Ray Woodard declined Thursday to talk about the health of DePauldrick Garrett, saying only that an examination on the junior running back's left shoulder was "inconclusive." "We don't know anything yet," Woodard added during his lone weekly media conference at the Lamar athletic complex. "Even if we do, we wouldn't tell you anything anyway." Garrett hurt the shoulder on a dive into the end zone in the first quarter of Saturday's 45-35 victory against Incarnate Word. So usually we ask for predictions of games but I'm wondering what are peoples expectations? Do you expect worse or better performance than last year? How do you think we will play? I just thought of this question because there seems to still be a lot of uncertainty about this team. This is the biggest game yet because now there are no excuses IMO. I'll give my response in time.

Guys, Being a huge LU fan and former Cardinal athlete, i am still waiting on an identity. I am confused about our QB situation. That ols saying if you have 2 QB's you dont have 1. Bevil was move to the slot last your for the Prewitt kid and now all of sudden they put him back at QB and then rotate him with Johnson. We are big up front but we are quick to abandon the running game. They need to go into tonight and say Johnson you are our QB for the next 4 yrs (if thats what they expect) so you are our guy and tell our RB that he will get 30 carries. It is very curious as to why McNeese can having a winning program with talent from within a 250 mile radius of Lake Charles and some people believe we should go get players from all over the world. It makes sense on so many different levels to recruit locally (250 miles). Just take a look at the Cowboys roster. Only two kids are from more than 250 miles away. McNeese wins with local talent and steals a ton of players from our area. Barry Switzer was quoted saying that if he could have the greater Houston area, primarily Harris County, as a recruiting zone all to himself that he could contend for a national title every year. Injury update from the latest BE article: DePauldrick Garrett suffered a separated left shoulder. Octavious Logan was limping around. Both Billy and Blake Chavis didn't play. The defensive backfield also lost starter Jordan Garrett and Michael Allen II to injuries. Sophomore cornerback Branden Thomas didn't play. I know the qb issue has been beat to death on here so I hope this thread doesn't start too much controversy...I'm no football coach but have decent football knowledge...we have 3 pretty good qb's...thus far it doesn't appear any of them are drastically better than the other...jj has 4 years to play, prewitt 3,Bevil 1...why wouldn't you go ahead and choose either jj or prewitt as the starter?...they get great experience and by the time they are junior/senior we have a seasoned qb ready to lead the team...no offense but I don't think Bevil is.going to lead us into anything more than jj or prewitt can this year so why not give them the experience?...I personally think I woul…

1st Name Bevil QB. Quit shuffling Qb's. It seems to remove any rhythm that they are creating. 2nd WTF why cant we get penetration on a D2 offensive line?? We had 1 sack and the qb had all day to pass the ball. 3rd Secondary was weak all night.. The gave way to much cushion... We played weak with out any bit of aggression. Arm tackling and such. 4th Seems that Woodard is ROC 2.0 He is out of his league and so is the staff he has put together. Has tons of talent but does not seem to know how to use it. They better get this team under control or this season will SUCK! That is all I am going to say now.
