Cards split the mid-week double header with Tarleton falling 1-0 in the first game and winning 2-0 in the second game. Cards will return to action Thursday, taking on HCU.

On Sunday April 13th, the Cards finish the sweep of Nicholls with 16-5 run rule win. Cards had two big innings scoring five in the second and nine in the fifth. Cards go on the road for the upcoming week of games.

Lamar finishes the sweep of Northwestern State with a 5-3 win on Saturday afternoon. Lamar currently sits in fifth place with a 13-8 conference record. With only two conference series left the Cards will pretty much need to sweep both of them to move up in the standings. Cards take on Tarleton State in a Tuesday double header before a Thursday, Friday three game series with HCU beginning on the 17th for their last conference home series of the year.

Come back Cards win another game in walk off fashion. Cards gave up four runs to Nicholls over the first four innings before scoring one in the bottom of the fourth. Cards get another run in the fifth to close the gap to two runs before giving up two runs in the sixth for Nicholls to get back to a four-run lead. Lamar gets two runs in the eighth and then give them back in the top of the ninth before scoring five runs in the bottom of the ninth to take game two of the series 9-8. The series will close out tomorrow beginning at 1PM with Lamar going for a sweep.

Lamar takes game one in the series against Nicholls 5-4 in ten innings. Game two tomorrow at 5 PM.

Ladies take the first two games of the series 6-2 and 4-1 in the Friday double header. Series will finish beginning at noon tomorrow.

Lamar gets back on the winning track with a 3-1 victory over Arkansas - Pine Bluff. Cards host Nicholls this weekend. Cards currently sit in sixth place with six losses. Lamar really can't afford anymore losses if they hope to be a host team for the tournament pods.

Ladies give up three in the top of the seventh and drop the third game of the series and the series itself.

Ladies win the first game of three with Southeastern La but drop the second game of the double header. SLU and McNeese are tied for first place with 13-4 conference records. The Cards had a chance tying the second game at one run each in the fourth but could not get the go ahead run. SLU got a run in the sixth and held Lamar scoreless in the last two innings.

Still a lot of baseball to play, but a tournament projection with three SLC teams going to the regionals is a big improvement from a few years ago.

Cards drop the second game of the double header this afternoon as UTA score three runs in the top of the seventh to get a 4-2 win and salvage the last game of the series. The Cards will return to action Tuesday, taking on Arkansas Pine Bluff.

Lamar wins game one of the Sunday double header 6-5 with a walk off double against UTA to win their eleventh straight and secure the series win. Game two for today and the series finale will start a little later.

Ladies finish the sweep of the Islanders with a 12-0 win on Saturday.

Baseball keeps their winning streak going with a 3-2 victory over UT-Arlington on Friday evening.

Ladies finish the day with a 3-1 win in the second game to go up 2-0 in the series. Now they can go for the sweep tomorrow.

Cards take game one 7-1 to start the series in Corpus. Hopefully the ladies can continue their offense in game to a little later this afternoon.

Lamar scores three in the first against University of Houston before giving up three in the third and one in the fifth to drop the mid-week game. Cards return to action Friday in Corpus Christi for a three-game series. Cards need at least two wins to get their conference season back on track to make the conference tournament.

Cards take down Tarleton State in 38 run slugfest 22-16. The win increases Lamar's current win streak to nine. Lamar will host UT-Arlington in a three game non-conference match over this coming weekend.

Big Red has a run productive day defeating UIW 17-6 in a run rule game to get their second conference series sweep in a row an improve their record to 9-6 in conference. Lamar is currently on an eight-game winning streak. Next up Tarleton State away on Tuesday April 1st.

Lamar wins the Saturday game against UIW 8-4. Lamar gave up two runs in the third before scoring four runs in the fifth and three runs in the sixth. UIW scored a run in the fifth. Both teams score single runs in the ninth. Lamar will go for their second straight conference series sweep tomorrow at 1:05 PM.

Softball suffers a sweep at Nicholls with the last game an elven to three loss. Both of the last two games this series Lamar gave up eight run innings to Nicholls.

Lamar comes from behind to take down UIW in the first game of the weekend series and improve to 7-6 in conference action.

Lady Cards drop two on Friday afternoon at Nicholls. First game was 5-1 and second game was 10-4. Cards had a four to two lead going into the bottom of the sixth before giving up eight runs.

Lamar gets another mid-week win 2-1 over Rice.

Marmolejos was a good scorer, but six-foot-tall shooting guards are fairly easy to replace. The ones that are a lot harder to replace is the six-six player that is an outstanding rebounder and scorer. Lamar hasn't had one of these type players in a while.
