Currently up 1-0 a quarter of the way through the second half. If Lamar is able to win this game, it sets a bench mark for this team being able to go on the road and beat a west coast team at their stadium. This win would be huge.

Fisher Romar, a RB from PA Memorial, is also on the roster after transferring from Northwestern State. Bret Treadway sure has put on the weight as he's now listed at 290 pounds.

Has anyone heard anything about Lamar possibly getting some new uniforms this year? We have some of the worst looking uniforms in the conference and would love to see an upgrade in that area. I noticed we were wearing what appeared to be last seasons game pants in the scrimmage and would only make sense if they unveiled a new fresh look this year. I'd like to see a Red helmet, less black, and a more polished classic look. Nothing flashy like Oregon. Something closer to what Arizona wears in the NFL or maybe even model after the SF 49ers with our school colors.

Wow. Had a chance to catch the scrimmage last night and I'm completely discouraged by this group of players. Let's start with the defense. The best way to describe the defense is like a 1980's mesh jersey. it's full of holes. They are slow, they often look lost, and the better teams we see this season will have a field day. The offense... sluggish. Perhaps it was an off night but I didn't see anything positive to bring home that makes me think this team can win more than 7 games. So I was thinking and I can't recall Lamar doing any kind of pregame tradition aside from the walk across the bridge well before game time...but I wanna know what kind of activity you guys would think would liven the home field atmosphere. I can't remember if there is a certain song Lamar enters the field to (missed allof last season with a new baby) but I think turning that activity into an experience would be awesome. I've been to some practices and notice that some of our WR's are always not practicing and while I assume injured are playing around on the sidelines. I will not argue that from top to bottom this is probably the most talented position group on our team but I'm starting to wonder if this high praise is beginning to get into their heads?? Look, this obviously doesn't include them all because I've seen guys like Reggie Begelton, Michael Handy among others busting their butts regularly on the practice field but 2 or 3 others seem to enjoy hooting & hollering with the pads off with the other guys putting in the real work on the field. He's electric as it was obvious all of last year and at the scrimmage last Saturday. When he touches the rock he always has a shot to take it to the house and sometimes does but when he came out Saturday night the offense slowed down significantly. The #1's struggled to move the ball consistently so was that the defense stepping up or was the offense struggling in his absence? It'll help with you get Roberts/Nelson/McVey on the the field with the offense but I worry if Kade goes out will our offense become stale? I thought Emmitt Raleigh did a good job getting tough yards, will he be this years Ploch or will it be someone else that steps up in that role?
