Definitely a deep hole to try to climb out of trailing by eighteen points at the half. 41-23. UIW winning with good shooting making ten more field goals than Lamar including two more three-point attempts and only one turnover compared to seven for Lamar. It well take a large turnaround for Lamar to comeback.

UIW off to a hot shooting start leading 28-11 with nine minutes left in the first half. UIW shooting 67% from the field including four of seven from the three-point line. Lamar also has four early turnovers. Lamar needs to clean this up fast or it is going to be a long evening and a missed opportunity.

Lamar finishes the weekend sweep with a 5-3 win Sunday afternoon.

aCards run rule Albany 21-0 to improve to 4-1 on the season. Wrap up the series with Albany tomorrow.

Lamar wins at HCU.

Lamar taking care of business at HCU and are up 27-10 at the half. Not as fast moving and scoring game as some but still playing strong defense.

Lamar falls to host Chatanooga in their first game on Saturday 5-4. Will follow up with IU-Indy in about thirty minutes.

Lamar has first two games of the five-game event in Chatanooga canceled, now set to play three games starting Saturday at 11:30 AM.

Lamar wins a hard fought game, even though Lamar never trailed UIW managed to stop Lamar every time Lamar had a chance to blow the game open. Until just the last minute or two of the game it was a one possession lead. Final score 61.53.

Lamar had the lead from the beginning until the final possession of the third quarter when UIW tied the game. 44-44 going into the fourth quarter,

Cards take on the other Cards this evening. Lamar is in sole possession of second place and holds the tiebreaker over SFA but must keep winning. UIW is sitting at 10-6 and fourth place. The need the win to potentially, get a day one bye in the conference tournament. Tipoff is at 6:30 PM.

Cards get two wins in mid-week games versus North Dakota State to open the home season.

Lamar shoots exceptionally well in the second half and win the game by ten points 75-65. Holifield led all scorers with 22 points.

At the end of the first half the Cards are down by six 35-29. Lamar started out with a quick three-pointer to take the opening lead, but then between turnovers and missed shots NWST went on an eleven-point run to go up eight points before Lamar scored again. Lamar got down by as much as eleven points before finally starting to get stops and scoring themselves to come all the way back and get out to a five point lead. Then the Cards' got sloppy again and went down by eight before closing out the half down by six. Lamar doing good on the offensive boards, but too many turnovers (11) and too many times giving up baskets in the paint.

Cards bounce back with a 13-3 win on Sunday to head home with a 2-1 opening weekend record.

Ladies finish the weekend with a second win over Missouri St getting three wins and two losses for the weekend and a 6-3 overall record through the first two weeks of softball.

Lamar also lost to Tulsa in the early morning game Saturday.

Lamar winds up winning by ten 65-55. Lamar returns to action Monday at Northwestern State with a 6:30 PM start time.

Cards up 55-43 with 7:03 left in the game. Cards are on top but definitely not playing a real solid game. Way too many turnovers for the competition they are playing against. Lamar should be up by at least twenty but continue to make silly turnovers.

Cards up by nine at the half 35-26. Could easily be a much bigger lead but each time Lamar is in a position to blow the game open it seems they have one or two bad possessions to keep ETA&M within range. Cards have almost doubled up on rebounds with 25 first half rebounds for Lamar including 12 offensive rebounds.

7:51 left in the first half and the Cards are up 21-15. This has been a game of runs so far ETAM had a seven-point run followed by a thirteen-point run for Lamar.

Cards playing in Commerce this afternoon. Slow start for both teams with the game tied at three, four and a half minutes into the game.

Ladies can't get anything going against Tennessee, using five pitchers and giving up three runs in the first, two in the third and eight in the fifth. Lamar got a total of four hits against two Tennessee pitchers. Cards will end their week Sunday with a second game against Missouri State.

Saturday February 15th at ET A&M. Cards win 71-57 in an early start time game. Cards have strong first and third quarters, second quarter was tight with ET outscoring the Cards by one. ET also outscored the Cards in the final quarter, but Lamar pulled most of it's starters during the quarter. Davis played like you would expect ending the game with eighteen points and thirteen rebounds. Cards next action will be Thursday at UIW.

Cards get their fifth win versus Missouri State in the second game of the weekend with two runs in the bottom of the seventh to take a 3-2 victory.
