What was the deal with that halftime performance? A drum line? And the band trying to dance?! And what were those dance "moves" the dance team was doing??! Some people on here have been talking about us going to the WAC. From what I've seen over the last 10-15 years, coupled with the last few weeks, I'd say in another 10 years we will be in the SWAC.

I don't post on here much anymore but felt it necessary to do so because I love Lamar as much or more than anyone. I am a former Lamar athlete who was a part of rebuilding a program and more importantly have loved Lamar athletics from the time I entered this world in 1980. Many of you posting on here have never played or coached collegiate sports. I am only saying this because I truly believe for anyone to understand what Ray Woodard and his staff have tried to do over the last 4 years is literally impossible for anyone to understand who has not been there. To me what we have is not working. Some told me along time ago" if you continue to do the things you have always done you will contiue to get the same results" after 5 games so far this year we have had the same weak offensive results. I am by no means an expert but we need to change our blocking scheme. If were are not big enough to take on these bigger guys one on one lets run a few trap plays, some double teams or even zone blocking. Something has to change for us to get better. Coaches make a change or they will change you...

At the Texas Rice festival Thursday night, just after Aaron Watson played and just before Easton Corbin took the stage, Coach Ray Woodard came out on stage and tossed koozies and t-shirts to the partying crowd. Nice to see coach Woodard at the TRF.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe these 2 failed to qualify...just noted they are still listed on the athletic website's roster...does anyone know their status?
