I understand being upset frustrated and worked up about the progress of this team, everybody is, but we need to start getting a little more positive. If we don't support this team through thick and thin (mostly thin lately) we will never get where we want to be. I'm as guilty as the next person about being down on Coach Woodard and the team, but the bottom line is he is here at least another year so we need to stay supportive of the team. We must keep filling the seats at PU or we will lose one of our few recruiting advantages. Then we will be back to thinking that 6000 fans at a game is a good thing like they did in the 80's, right before we lost the program. The supp…

Looked up the home attendance for the SLC teams this past weekend. Looks like we did okay: Lamar: 15,367 McNeese: 13,291 SHSU: 11,061 NWSt: 10,189 SELa: 6,278 Lamar probably had an advantage with the PV fans.

Anybody have any info?

Hmmmm...not looking good. BYU is dominating Hawaii.

It looks like a great weekend for tailgating and LU football. We are smoking pork tenderloin and throwing it on a sweet slider bun dripping with bbq sauce and grilling some stuffed bacon wrap jalapenos. What are you cooking???

So how does Lamar compare to Old Dominion, Georgia State, South Alabama and UTSA? First, ODU and USA started in 2009 so they had a head start. Also, keep in mind that all 4 are going FBS while Lamar is staying FCS for now. The most successful so far is ODU, They've won at least 8 games each year and made the FCS playoffs last year, their 3rd year of existence. They also have NOT played any FBS schools yet and do not have any on their schedule this year. South Alabama also started in 2009 but they played a reduced schedule which really didn't count. They went 10-0 in 2010, playing 4 FCS schools (including Lamar, Nicholls State and Georgia State). They went 6-4 last y…
