Lamar falls in it's first game to ACU by a score of 7-1. Lamar took the early lead and had as many hits as ACU, but all of Lamar's hits were singles where ACU had four doubles and two home runs. Lamar will play Sam Houston at 9:00 AM tomorrow morning in an elimination game.

Anthony Quiron and Chase Kemp were selected 1st team All SLC performers. Quiron and Avery George were named to the all defensive team. Trevin Michael was selected 2nd team and Ryan Snell & Jack Dallas were on the 3rd team.

Lamar Track and Field just completed their last SLC meet by the men finishing 11th and the women finished 12th out of a total 13 teams.

Lamar hosts UNO for the final home games of this season. First game starts at 6:00 PM this evening. Cards are basically in a must win situation if there is any hope of making the conference tourney in two weeks.

McClure in his junior year averaged 20.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, 4.2 steals and 1 block per game all while shooting 50% from the field. First game of 4 game series starts at 3pm today. Saw ACU play UT-Austin a few weeks ago on the LHN and they looked like a solid baseball team. I think we have our hands full this weekend.

See where the transfer portal is reaching 1300. Jim Boheim of Syracuse said college coaches now have another recruiting season to deal with. Said Syracuse will lose some players just like everyone else. He said North Carolina has 7 players in the portal and all were HS All-Americans.

Dont know if Byers, FrRS RB ever stepped on the field im figuring a fruit basket turnover with the roster, cuz if you didnt play this year , (especially the first 2 or 3 games when Morgan was subbing in and out so much), you might as well pack it up.

So, why is it we don't have Beach Volleyball? Seems like it's about the cheapest sport to start up, since women on the indoor volleyball team are allowed to play both. Yes, it's not the exact same skill set, but there's plenty of overlap.
