  1. Started by coachacola,

LU is doing awesome in football and basketball: Basketball - rated at 314 out of 358 D1 teams, and last in the WAC. Football - rated 115 out of 128 FCS teams, and last in the WAC/ASUN challenge. Give Born a raise for the fine job he's doing as AD!

  2. Started by geezer,

Approaching the end of the 1st half and the women are down by 15.

  3. Started by NorthoftheBorder,

    To all the Cardinal faithful!!

  4. Started by geezer,

Tip-off is at 3:00PM. Is there any chance for a close game?

  5. Started by geezer,

Lamar faces UTSA this afternoon at 2:00 PM. UTSA is 3-3 on the season. It looks like on average UTSA may have a slight height advantage. UTSA has two wins against other non-power conference opponents, but has a loss to a non-D1 school and to Corpus Christi. Should be a game the Cards should have a chance to win. Possibly the only chance on this three-game road swing.

  6. Started by coachacola,

USM isn't a good team so LU has a chance to win.

  7. Started by geezer,

The final game of the season finds the Cards hosting SFA at 4:00 PM this afternoon. Lamar is two and eight on the season while SFA is eight and two looking for an at large bid to the FCS playoffs.

  8. Started by Bagelmuncher,

Could we at least get updated photos and remove a football schedule that is 3 years old✅

  9. Started by geezer,

Early in the game Lamar cold shooting from the field and at the 13:34 mark Stetson is up by four; 8-4.

  10. Started by geezer,

Lady Cards were solidly defeated at Ole Miss 71-37. Ole Miss was much bigger and overall much more talented. On top of that two of Lamar's best players played very little with possible nagging injuries that Franklin didn't want to risk them aggravating whatever minor injuries they may have.

  11. Started by geezer,

Game time is 6:30; Should be a tough match as it looks like on paper their starters are bigger across the board than Lamar.

  12. Started by lamarfan360,

Jason Thirdkill a 6-7, SG/SF out of the Dallas area gave Coach Brooks his pledge. Jason is ranked the 18th best prospect in Texas. Another ranking service listed Thirdkill 117th in the Nation. https://www.prephoops.com/player/jason-thirdkill-jr/

  13. Started by geezer,

Jacksonville St comes to Lamar following a 40-25 win over ACU. With a 4-5 record JSU is not where they expected to be record wise as they were a pre-season pick to make the playoffs. For Lamar if there is any chance at a win Chandler has to play and have a good day passing. (I know, it's hard to have a good day passing in Lamar's offensive scheme) I don't believe either of the other two quarterbacks Lamar has used this year are good enough passers.

  14. Started by geezer,

Cards will get a big test Saturday at 1:00 PM when they take on Miami. Miami defeated Georgia Tech Tuesday on the road. Lamar will travel to GT for a game on Monday.

  15. Started by geezer,

Ladies taking on HPU and performing the way you would expect in the first quarter. 2:00 minutes left and up 18-6.

  16. Started by geezer,

About ten minutes until game time. This game should be another cake walk similar to last weeks exhibition game. It will be good to be able to watch on ESPN+

  17. Started by cardsfanatic,

Did anyone attend the scrimmage? If so, your thoughts about the team? Thanks

  18. Started by coachacola,

Can LU beat a team that's transitioning from D2?

  19. Started by coachacola,

Any thoughts on SHSU joining CUSA? With NMSU and SHSU it looks like McNeese and IWU will join the WAC. Update: Hearing the McNeese is joining the WAC but no word yet on IWU. That would mean a 12 school WAC in 2024: West: Seattle, Cal Baptist, Grand Canyon, Utah Valley, Dixie St, Southern Utah East: McNeese, Lamar, SFA, Tarleton, ACU, UTRGV

  20. Started by geezer,

Congrats to the ladies finishing second in the southwest division and tied for the third best overall conference record. Lamar will hit the field Wednesday at 4 PM taking on west division third place finisher NMSU in Abilene, in the first round of the conference tourney.

  21. I was able to take a few photos of the new team and coach. Take look at some of the new players https://www.facebook.com/media/set?vanity=bigredfan2&set=a.4468784436508205

  22. Started by lamarfan360,

With a possible Astros game 7 Wednesday, the Cardinals have changed their start time to 6pm.

  23. Started by lamarfan360,

Report has New Mexico State and Sam Houston leaving the WAC. If true Sam Houston will be going FBS in football.

  24. Started by coachacola,

Game starts at 1pm on Saturday. They beat Central Arkansas by 3 in a comeback win.

  25. Join us on October 27th for the Mens and Womens Red & White event! Free to attend and will start at 6 pm in McDonald Gym!
