Coach Tidwell will be inducted into the Cardinals Hall of Honor today. His Dallas Christian team is off today. The rest of the class 2022 Hall of Honor will be presented at a later date.

3:00 PM Central Time tipoff. Don't expect much from Lamar in this game. Seattle has good outside shooters with just enough inside presence to mean Lamar won't be able to help inside and still tightly defend the three-point line. Not knowing anything about the actual travel arrangements for Lamar, I would only suspect the eight that dressed Thursday to be available.

Late local time tipoff of 9:00 PM. Probably will be a very difficult as CBU may have their star freshman back from injury. This kid was a good scorer before the injury and CBU struggled while he was out, but nothing like Lamar's struggles have been. Hopefully some more of Lamar's players are back tonight.

The Cardinals beat the University of Memphis 3-1.

Seven PM tip-off. Battle of the bottom of the WAC. RGV is 1-8 in WAC play with their one win over Chicago State. The biggest question for Lamar is how many players are available. Like Lamar RGV had a chance to defeat ACU but they literally ran out of available players and had to play with only four on the court for about a minute of playing time while one of the walk-ons the coach had in the book, but not dressed for the game went to the locker room to suit up. RGV was up by about six points with under four minutes at that point.

So far it looks like Lamar has signed nineteen players including one transfer quarterback and three local area players. First question is any of the area players difference makers?

Early men's game today, when the Cards host ACU at 3:00 PM in the Montange. The ladies are in Abilene at 1:00.

Tipoff is at 7 PM. Not sure what to think about this game. Tarleton usually plays pretty aggressive defense trying to force the opponents into turnovers, but supposedly will be without a couple of starters. Give Tarleton the edge on coaching as Gillespie has been near the top in the past and has a proven record. Will Brooks return to the three-guard lineup or will he try the three forwards again. According to a posting on the internet, Lamar has three players out for this game in Reyes and two guards that haven't played much, with four listed as game time decisions. Early tipoff, with a 3:00 PM start. Utah Valley has last season's player of the year, a good post player and shot blocker. I think they may have lost a good guard which really balanced them out, but I doubt the Cards will have an answer.

Tipoff is at 8:00 PM CT. Dixie is 1-4 in conference, with a win over Cal Baptist. Looks like they may have a slight height advantage, but a lot of Freshman and sophomores.

Former Rice University RB transferring to Lamar.

Gametime is 6:30 this evening. Expect another loss, but it might be interesting if any more players are available.
