I think the spring football game is today. I am not sure because I did not see any headline talking about it. I wonder if the offense just watches from the bleachers while the defense lines up in formations. Coach probably does not want any scouts from other WAC teams scouting our potent high powered offense (qb sneak, qb sneak from shotgun, drop back qb sneak and qb sneak from drop back while pretending to look downfield). I did see a kids clinic after the scrimmage grades 2-6. I guess there will be some people, other than players parents, in the stands.

Women open up WAC Tourney against NMSU. Ladies lost on the road to NMSU early in the regular season by four. Hopefully the Cards can get a win this time.

Ok, we were ranked number 350 out of 358 by Massey heading into this game. Certainly we will drop another one or two spots after this. However, I think our strength of schedule will prevent us from achieving the ultimate goal of 358. However, all is not lost. We have no D-1 wins and we are a shoe in to lose all but 1 of the rest of our games. The only thing that could screw up this season is a win over UTRGV in our second to last game. But I have total confidence that we will lose that and achieve THE WORST LAMAR TEAM EVER title! WE GOT THIS. We just have to hope that Brooks does not get injured.

Lamar takes game one of the three game series 12-6. Another good pitching performance from Douthit to start the game for the Cards. Douthit had another quality performance giving up two runs in four innings before coming out of the game. Douthit wasn't as dominating as last week giving up four doubles but did strike out more batters than innings pitched. Three of the doubles came in the first inning when he also gave up two runs, but he came back in the next three innings without giving up any more runs and leaving the game with a four to two lead.

The Lady Cardinals defeated ACU 70-60 to break a five-game losing streak. The ladies closed out their home games for the season and have a chance to even their conference record at 9 & 9 if they can win the last two on the road. That will be a big test as the last game is at Cal Baptist who is currently in the third spot for the regular season and CBU defeated Lamar by fifteen in Beaumont. Next game is Thursday at UTRGV.

Wasn't home earlier, but it looks like this is another poor outing for Lamar. Down by 29 with thirteen minutes left in the game.

Game time at seven this evening. Could be another blow out like Thursday. Notice that Harrison isn't listed on the roster now, not that his absence is a massive loss. I'm a little curious if either of the freshman that appear to have redshirted will bring anything to the table next year and I assume Ball will not play in any of these last three games. He might be able to get a sixth year of eligibility because of the injury. I think he has one year left Irregardless.

Grambling State hired Coach Briles as OC. My question is would any of you now support hiring him on second thought as Head Coach at Lamar? In 2021 the Baylor administration exonerated Briles of any wrong doing involving the scandal at the university.

This reminds me a lot of when my daughter played basketball in the 4th grade. We had one play and if it was the first time we played you it MIGHT work. After that the defender knew where you were going to throw the ball. The biggest difference is the elementary school gyms were bigger than ACUs. Iof course, one big excuse people like to use us we cant recruit against awesome facilities/places like Abilene.
