preseason=hype,excitment,buzz,high expectations 1st game=great crowd,good opening half,interception,team quits,coaches lost 2nd game =loss of words,coaches and players didn't try,the thrill is gone 3rd game=less lamar fans because of first two games,no excitement,very little hope,no belief in Woodard I pray we turn this around and beat sam but after backing Woodard since day 1 he has to make playoffs or be fired.

Full Article I had seen this on Twitter last night but wasn't sure what capacity he would be joining in (full-time or volunteer). I know Hatten had agreed to stay on staff and the recent addition of Kyle Green to the vacant spot meant this would more than likely be a volunteer role but still didn't know for sure. TJC has put out some quality evidenced by 3 straight National Championships with White being part of the last 2. Should be a very good addition to the staff.

I drove by the stadium this weekend and saw a couple things... our scoreboard has faded out big time and the red looks pink. I sure hope they fix that... Also the stadium is looking dingy, I hope they have plans to pressure spray it and do some minor touch up repairs.

With SLC Media Day in the rearview mirror that means we are that closer to football. All players will report by August 3rd (most have already reported and going through Summer II) and the first team work out will be August 4th. There are currently 2 planned scrimmages with the first being Saturday August 13th and the second in Sunday August 21st, both at 7PM at Provost Umphery Stadium. All workouts and scrimmages will be open to the public. Hopefully I can get out to at least one scrimmage to give a report before the season opens

I haven't been around the campus in a while, what are the campus and updated upgrades for the athletic facilities? I saw a new scoreboard for basketball but what else is planned moving forward. Teams will be switching conferences soon so just wondering what's planned for the Cardinals. Thanks Cplatt

Lamar has been picked to finish 4th in the conference in both the coach's poll and the sports director's poll. I am given some confidence because of where we are ranked that we have the talent and the team to be right in there in the discussion of who will win conference. We need consistent QB play and we need our defense to step up. If those things happen I think we can do some special things this season.
