While at work, I was listening to the Central vs PNG game this past Friday night. Central had the ball and was running an empty backfield with 5 receivers. The QB was completing passes left, right, and in the middle. Makes you wonder, why them and not Lamar?

Coach Woodard announced today that QB Carson Earp will officially have his season and Lamar career come to an end. He also said that he was wants to keep Adam Morse's RS on him meaning the new backup QB is freshman walk-on Case Robinson. I know Dracula is happy about that.

Coach Woodard has confirmed that X-Rays revealed that Kade broke his foot last night. They have an MRI set up for tomorrow to further evaluate severity...regardless, with only 5 regular season games left and past the medical redshirt threshold, we could have very well seen the last of #8 squirting around.

...or will they have a losing record? LU is 2-3 with 6 games remaining. Home games against NW State, HBU and Incarnate Ward. These should be easy wins. Road games are the tough ones: Central Arkansas, Nicholls and McNeese. They have to win out to make the playoffs. Nicholls beat LU at home last year. LU has yet to beat Central Arkansas. McNeese just lost to SELA. My prediction is they go 6-5 and Woodard keeps his job for another year.

During the game Kendrick King went in motion, took the handoff from Harrington, and scored. That's what speed can do for you. However, the pass option was off the table with Harrington there. In my opinion, Case Robinson would be a better fit.

Back-up Sr CB Llyod Julian and So RB Keegan Mitchell have both left the program. Julian started out last year as a starter but lost his job towards the end of the season. Mitchell started last year as the #2 RB behind Kade Harrington as a true freshman but eventually gave way to upperclassmen Carl Harris and Emmitt Raleigh. He had slipped behind R-Fr Derrion Randle and Fr Austin Krautz this season.
